Meet Vice President Dwain Hittinger. 

An association vice president's role is to support the president and help the organization achieve its goals:  

• Assist the president

  The vice president is the president's right-hand person, helping with their duties and stepping in when needed. This includes presiding over meetings, signing contracts, and ensuring the president's directions are carried out.  

• Provide leadership

  The vice president helps facilitate effective leadership by ensuring that day-to-day operations align with the organization's strategic objectives.  

• Build relationships

  The vice president represents the organization externally, helping to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.  

• Plan for succession

  The vice president often serves as a potential successor to the president, making their role critical in ensuring continuity in leadership.  

• Communicate

  The vice president communicates between the board and the management company, and speaks to community vendors on behalf of the organization.  

• Train new board members

  The vice president may train new board members in their new positions.  

• Develop partnerships

  The vice president may assist in developing partnerships with other associations, state associations, national sporting bodies, potential sponsors, and funding organizations.
